To provide professional expertise and services in the application of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and statistical analysis in order to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and service delivery within the Office.
The ICT Unit shall perform the following functions:
Implement ICT and e-Government policies, strategies, and guidelines within the Office.
Develop, coordinate, and manage integrated Information and Communication Technology systems for the Office.
Ensure proper operation, maintenance, and security of ICT hardware, software, and related infrastructure.
Coordinate and provide technical support in the procurement, installation, and use of ICT hardware and software.
Undertake data management, analysis, and interpretation to support planning, decision-making, and reporting.
Establish, manage, and coordinate electronic mail communication systems on Local Area Networks (LAN) and Wide Area Networks (WAN).
Conduct studies and assessments to identify and propose areas where ICT can be applied to improve efficiency and service delivery within the Office.
The Unit shall be headed by a District Information and Communication Technology Officer.
To provide professional expertise and services in information management, communication, and public dialogue with stakeholders, including the media.
The Government Communication Unit shall perform the following activities:
Produce and disseminate information materials such as brochures, articles, newsletters, and other publications to inform the public about policies, programmes, activities, and reforms undertaken by the Office.
Coordinate press briefings and media engagements for the Office.
Engage in dialogue with the public and the media on issues concerning the Office.
Promote the Office’s activities, programmes, and policies through various communication channels.
Coordinate the preparation of sectoral and Office papers for workshops, seminars, and conferences.
Coordinate the preparation and production of the Office’s articles, newsletters, and newspapers.
Update sectoral and ministerial information on the official website.
Advise divisions, units, extra-ministerial departments, and non-commercial public institutions on the production of communication materials and publications.
The Unit shall be headed by a District Government Communication Officer.
