To provide professional expertise and services in the procurement, storage, inventory management, and supply of goods, works, and services in order to support effective and efficient operations of the Office.
The Procurement and Supplies Management Unit shall perform the following functions:
Advise Management on matters relating to procurement of goods, works, and services, as well as logistics and supplies management.
Ensure compliance with procurement laws, regulations, policies, and procedures in accordance with the Public Procurement Act and its Regulations.
Prepare and coordinate the Annual Procurement Plan for the Office in line with the approved budget.
Procure, store, manage, and distribute goods, works, and services required to support the operational and logistical needs of the Office.
Manage and monitor the issuance and distribution of office supplies and materials to ensure efficient utilization.
Maintain and regularly update inventory records of goods, supplies, and materials.
Maintain and update the Assets Register in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
Provide secretariat services to the Office Tender Board in compliance with the Public Procurement Act.
Develop specifications and standards for goods, works, and services to be procured and monitor compliance to ensure value for money.
The Unit shall be headed by a District Procurement Management Officer (DPMO).
